Why I write about Picky Eaters #kids #pickyeaters
This is my picky eater, my oldest child, Benjamin. It started early, but we just didn’t know it. We now he has low muscle tone, some sensory issues and was diagnosed with ADHD in June of 2011. But you wouldn’t know a thing by looking at him.
Born early by 10 days or so (they kept making my due date later and later — it started off as September 28, then they moved it to October 7, then 8th, then 9th), he showed up.. on September 28, ironically. I was totally unprepared (um… due date wasn’t for 10 more days), but he came anyway. (Read More After the jump).
Giveaway: Mother’s Day Basket from Stop & Shop (+ $20 in Gift Cards)
Happy Mother’s Day! So, how did you celebrate? Hopefully with sleeping in and a great breakfast –which is what I got, though we traveled across town (instead of sitting at my kitchen table) to my sister-in-law’s for a yummy brunch. Stop and Shop (where I do most of my weekly shopping) asked me to do a Mother’s Day Giveaway, after sending me a fun basket this week (with some healthy ingredients to make muffins – yum!). Cubbie Cup: Convenient Snacking for Kids On the Go (+ Giveaway)
by Contributing Blogger Maytal Wichman
I know this blog covers picky eaters but my kids are actually pretty decent eaters. So decent that they need to eat a small meal every 2-3 hours or they get in temper tantrum mode. Yup, my kids have been blessed with a hearty appetite and, more importantly, their father’s metabolism. However, this requires me to take drinks and snacks practically everywhere we go. I take a sippy cup and a ziplock with Cheerios with me, just in case, even if it’s for a short walk down the block. It’s a hassle, I know, but luckily a mom by the name of Tiara Henderson invented the Cubbie Cup: a set of 2 attached cups – one for drinking and the other for snacks. (Read More After the jump).

Movie Review: Girl In Progress with Eva Mendes
By Guest Blogger Lainie Gutterman of Me, Myself and Baby I
I attended an advanced screening of Girl In Progress at the Core Club. I did not anything about the film except that it starred Eva Mendes, a beautiful actress who I enjoy watching on the big screen. (Read More after the jump).
Review: Motorola MBP 36 Remote Wireless Video Baby Monitor
By Jamie Feder
I recently gave birth to my first child, Miranda, which has been a major adjustment. The Motorola Digital Video Baby Monitor with Color LCD Screen has made this nervous new mommy sleep so much easier.
The monitor runs on a rechargeable battery, so I can take it with me as I do chores around the house. During the night (or in a darkened room), the monitor’s camera automatically switches to infrared night vision. So no matter what time of day, I can see Miranda on the monitor’s 3.5-inch color LCD screen. Using the monitor’s control panel, I can also remotely change the camera’s angel or zoom-in. Review: Safety 1st Go Hybrid Convertible Booster Seat
By Guest Blogger Kristen Ryan
We finally pulled the trigger and decided to take our boys, 4 and 6, to Disney World. When I campaigned for the trip, I assured my darling husband that we would not schlep a giant car seat through the airport. I really hate to rent car seats because they’re expensive and often filthy. Review: Dadgear Backpack Diaper Bag – Fits Everything
by Contributing Blogger Maytal Wichman
I’ll be the first to admit: I’m a practical person. I love diaper bags that look like stylish pocketbooks but I know I will never use one. For me, a diaper bag should be two things: 1. Roomy enough to store everything you want to take and 2. Comfortable enough so that both your shoulders can carry the heavy load equally. This is why a backpack diaper bag is the only way to go, in my opinion. The Dadgear backpack diaper bag is both comfortable to carry and has tons of room for over-packers like myself.
