Air Fryer Salmon Croquettes

04/24/2022 by The Mama Maven

Remember Salmon Croquettes from growing up? My mother always used to make them and last year I made them (using my frying pan). But air fry them and they are next level (Chef’s Kiss!). So delicious! My husband took the lead on this one and served as our chef. Enjoy our Air Fryer Salmon Croquettes recipe!

Ingredients:

Air Fryer Salmon Croquettes Ingredients

2 large cans wild-caught salmon (14.75 oz per can – these are the big cans) – you will have to remove the bones and pieces, though my mother-in-law says there is a lot of vitamins in the spine and you can grind that up
1.5 cups breadcrumbs (can use gluten free breadcrumbs)
3 eggs

Instructions:

Try to remove as many bones as possible from the wild caught canned salmon. You can either throw away the spine pieces or mash them up and keep them with the canned salmon.
Add the salmon to a bowl.
Add the eggs and mix everything together.

Salmon and eggs in the bowl

Then roll the mixture into patties.

Forming Salmon Patties

Then dip each patty into breadcrumbs to coat around it.

Rolling patties in breadcrumbs

Place on a silicone mat and then place into your air fryer.

Salmon Patties going into the air fryer

Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 16 minutes (flip over after 8 minutes). If you have a basket air fryer, slightly less time may work.
Will make 12 patties. I served 2 patties to each member of our family and paired it with a salad and veggies.
