GMO OMG Was Just Released on Blu-ray, DVD and iTunes – Giveaway closed

07/30/2014 by The Mama Maven

GMO OMG CoverDo you know what’s on your plates? GMO’s frighten you? I’ll admit they frighten me! I make sure I try to buy as many GMO Free foods as possible, as I am really concerned about it. Filmmaker Jeremy Seifert’s critically acclaimed investigation film GMO OMG  was just released on Blu-ray, DVD and iTunes. This must-see film shows the ways scientifically altered, corporate-controlled foods are negatively impacting our lives and perhaps those of generations yet to come.

Who controls the future of your food? GMO OMG explores the systematic corporate takeover and potential loss of humanity’s most precious and ancient inheritance: seeds. Director Jeremy Seifert investigates how loss of seed diversity and corresponding laboratory assisted genetic alteration of food affects his young children, the health of our planet, and freedom of choice everywhere. GMO OMG follows one family’s struggle to live and eat without participating in an unhealthy, unjust, and destructive food system. In GMO OMG, the encroaching darkness of unknown health and environmental risks, chemical toxins, and food monopoly meets with the light of a growing global movement to take back what we have lost. Has the global food system been irrevocably hijacked? Is there still time to reclaim its purity, protect biodiversity and save ourselves?

I’d love this movie to show to my husband, I’m more aware of gmo’s than the rest of the family and it’s hard to convince them, a movie is helpful, it shows more than I can relay.

I want to see this movie because I want to know all the details about how the powers that be go about manipulating the foods we eat. And while my family and I are aware of this practice, and we do try to stay away from GMO foods. We’re not perfect. I think the best way to be certain that the foods we eat haven’t been tampered with, is to grow your own garden, and raise your own livestock, etc.
