Can A Cube Chair Help With Early Intervention Services?

12/22/2015 by The Mama Maven

By Guest Writer Melody O.

My 2 year old daughter is receiving early intervention therapy services. Her behavioral and speech therapists both recommend that I purchase a cube chair to use in her sessions. So we turned to School Specialty Store and they provided us a chair for review.

Prior to purchasing the cube chair it was very difficult for my daughter to maintain focus.  Because she wasn’t sitting in a chair during her sessions it was very easy for her to divert her attention elsewhere. Since the cube chair arrived I’ve seen a significant change in her focus and progress.

How to use it:
Her therapists are using the chair as simple and safe seating for puzzle time, coloring and reading. This chair is made of  sturdy plastic with safe corners (no sharp edges) and easy to clean. I love that the seat height can be changed just by flipping it over or turned on its side to use as a table.

The high sides on the chair keep her from sliding out. Based on utility and durability these chairs are perfect for my child.

Thank you to School Specialty Store for sending the chair for review purposes.
