What can be better than cruising in the New York Harbor in a sail boat, enjoying the breeze and the warm sunshine?! Having your kids with you, of course! I recently sailed on the Clipper City Tall Ship, hosted by Mommy Poppins with my family and had a spectacular time enjoying the gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline and watching my kids have a blast on the ship. Here are photos of our sea adventure:
Here’s what the ship looks like, before the sails are up. It is a replica of a Civil War-era lumber-hauling schooner:
The kids loved getting tattoos and their activity booklets:
They got to learn some sailor skills such as hoisting the sail and knot tying:

Sunday, 9/22/13 at 10am & Noon: The theme is ecology & science. Activities will involve exploring the water and wildlife in the NY Harbor.
Sunday 10/19/13 at 10am & Noon: The theme is Halloween-related and kids are encouraged to come in costumes for a spooky sailing experience.
Duration: 75 minutes
Price: $39/adult; $25/children under 12; $35/senior citizen 65+. Note: everyone must have a ticket, including infants.
What’s included: tattoos & face painting, sailor skills, activity booklet and goody bags for the kids.
