Quinny Yezz Ultra Lightweight Stroller Review

10/07/2015 by The Mama Maven

by new contributor Jennifer Babich

I recently took my 4 year old into Manhattan on a NJ transit bus for the very first time. It was very exciting for her, and I was thrilled avoid a midtown parking search. After exiting Port Authority, we were able to quickly reach our destination a few blocks away because I brought my trusty umbrella stroller with me. The most challenging part of our trip was getting my easily portable and compact stroller through bus aisle. I did not have the Quinny Yezz on this past trip, but I certainly wish I did!

Quinny has tackled the problem of stroller portability and ease with style and a rainbow of flying colors with the Quinny Yezz.  The Yezz is an extremely stylish and modern looking stroller paired with some state of the art stroller technology. The array of bright hues provides plenty of choices and they all look fabulous on the sleek black base. After buying everything in gender neutral tones for my son when he was born (a wise decision as he had two little sisters to follow), I chose a beautiful and vivid purple for my stroller. The seat, sold separately from the frame, was extremely easy to assemble as Quinny provides clear instructions and a diagram to guide customers through the process of a few snaps.

The stroller is intelligently designed for parents on the go with quick fold and unfold features. Opening and folding the stroller are extremely simple once you read the instructions and I love that the handle bar has a door like contraption to protect the mechanism while transporting the stroller. Another great feature is the easily securable strap to avoid any surprise unfolds while holding or stashing the stroller.  All you need to do is snap the strap and throw the stroller over your shoulder! It was light enough for me to do this with one hand and so small when it is folded that it can be easily stowed in a car, bus or an apartment!

The Quinny Yezz pushed and turned like a dream, surpassing my other umbrella strollers in smoothness and navigating bumps in the sidewalk. Quinny’s goal of making it easy to navigate cities, public transportation and airports was hit beautifully. For those parents who are less concerned with portability and convenience, a few areas may be lacking. For example, there is no basket or recline feature.  Furthermore, in keeping the stroller design impeccably light weight and compact, Quinny had to cap the rider weight maximum at 40 Lbs.

talia quinny (1)The Quinny Yezz is a dream come true to any commuter or traveler. While It may not be ideal for stashing everything you need for a long day out, it will certainly make getting to any destination in style much easier!  Strollers in the city can be a challenge when it comes to storage and transport, but Quinny tackled this challenge with grace and comfort.

Buy on Amazon. The stroller retails for around $269, you can also buy other seat covers – so you can change your look up.

Thank you to Quinny for providing a sample. As always, all opinions are our own.
