10 Ways to #LiveBrighter with Kids #DirectEnergy

08/02/2015 by The Mama Maven

Do you have relaxed or overscheduled summers? I’m the first to admit that I’m more relaxed in the summer. I like a slower pace with my husbands and kids. We don’t overschedule – just 6 weeks of day camp and fun on the weekends and after camp.

We travel locally and take small and big road trips. We visit my in-laws and my parents. We love where we live and our life. 10 Ways to #LiveBrighter with Kids #DirectEnergy #AD @DirectEnergy | The Mama Maven Blog

10 Ways to #LiveBrighter with Kids

1. Laugh as much as possible.

2. Spend time together.

3. Relax the rules.

4. Really listen to each other.

5. Find ways to get your kids to talk about their day, not just “What happened at school/camp today?”

6. Introduce your kids to books and movies that you loved as a kid

7. Don’t be afraid to get silly with your kids, it lets them know that it’s okay to be a goofball.

8. Breakfast for dinner is totally okay at times.

9. Appreciate each other.

10. Encourage kids to try different activities outside their comfort zone.
