Kidsy Makes Life Easier for NYC parents

08/21/2013 by The Mama Maven

By Nancy Johnson Horn, Editor

Do you wonder WHAT you’re going to do with your kids on weekends and days off? Kidsy, a new online platform that revolutionizes how parents discover and plan kids activities recently launched at www.kidsy.co. And what parent couldn’t use a little help with that?

Kidsy provides parents with a one-stop hub to organize activities for kids and a better way to meet other moms and dads.

With Kidsy, parents can:

  • Quickly discover nearby activities happening each week
  • Set up playdates with their friends
  • Meet new families in their neighborhood
  • Book activities and receive exclusive Kidsy discounts

After experiencing first-hand how difficult it is to plan and organize kids activities, Co-Founders Michael Tai and Rajesh Banik created Kidsy to make parents’ lives easier. Tai explained, “We were tired of searching dozens of websites and email newsletters in order to figure out what activities we could do with our nieces and nephew. Our team of curators has done all the hard work for parents, so all they need to do is click and go.”

Using its recommendation engine, Kidsy suggests to parents fun and unique activities based on their previous preferences and on what’s trending with other parents. Kidsy also connects parents who are interested in the same activities to help them more easily set up playdates and meet other families.

Kidsy is currently focused on building its community in the New York City area, but plans to expand to additional cities in the near future.
