Gluten Free Baked Funfetti Donuts

05/10/2016 by The Mama Maven

Want to make donuts at home? What about if you’re gluten free? It’s actually pretty easy. This is based on Jennifer Meyering’s Cake Mix Donuts recipe and you can use it with any boxed cake mix. I chose a Gluten Free version.

Ingredients:
1 box cake mix — I chose gluten free Funfetti Cake Mix
1 cage free egg
1 cup water
1/4 cup oil, I prefer olive or avocado

Instructions:
Preheat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Add all the ingredients together in a mixer (I used my Kitchen Aid)
Pour into a non-stick donut pan (I borrowed an additonal one from my neighbor).
Bake for 12-14 minutes.
It made 1 dozen donuts – with some leftover dough. I probably could have gotten a few more donuts out of it. Note: These are cake-like donuts. We topped them with strawberries and whipped cream, so we didn’t make the glaze that’s in Jennifer’s recipe.
