Everyone loves the autumn with its crisp weather, the changing colors of the leaves, and all the fun activities like apple picking and fall fairs. Among these, there is one that stands out: The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze – a one-of-a-kind spectacle that features several thousand individually hand-carved pumpkins. This sold-out event, which takes place in Westchester, draws over 160,000 visitors to the area and is definitely one to put on your fall bucket list! Fall Events for Kids: The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze in Westchester
The walk-through experience lights up the wooded pathways, orchards, and gardens of historic Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., where a small team of artists hand-carve more than 7,000 jacks and elaborate pumpkin sculptures. This year visitors will delight in Blaze favorites, such as a giant spider web and life-size dinosaurs, and be dazzled by more pumpkin power than ever before! New additions include a jack o’lantern Statue of Liberty, a fully-functioning, 20-foot diameter Pumpkin Carousel, the Pumpkin Possum Posse, and a pint-sized herd of dinosaurs.
