School is starting soon and I’m getting ready to go shopping for supplies and clothes for my kids . I’ll also be on the lookout for healthy lunchbox items and so far I’ve come across the perfect snack: Earth’s Best Organic Nutty Snack Bars.
Earth’s Best Organic Nutty Snack Bars come in two flavors – peanut, almond and cashew butter with golden raisins and peanut butter with cocoa. I tried the former and loved the taste. The bars are frozen and while they’re meant to be stuffed in your kids’ lunchbox in the morning so that they can thaw by lunchtime, my family and I loved eating them frozen (or partially thawed). On these hot summer days a frozen treat is very much welcomed in my household.
The peanut, almond and cashew butter bars have only 6 grams of sugar each, are certified USDA organic and also have 4 grams of protein. They’re sweet but not overly sweet and they’re very filling. I have been stashing some in my purse when I’m running errands and they also make a perfect snack in the car for a road trip, or even a short car ride.
