Update: Potty Training My Toddler

04/21/2014 by The Mama Maven

This is my last post as a Pull-Ups® First Flush Ambassador. As you’ve been following along, I’ve been trying to potty train my toddler, Skylar with the help of Pull-Ups.

While he’s not completely potty trained yet, we have made incredible strides and are almost there. So many things have changed and it’s a wonderful thing to see.

Things That Have Changed

  1. My toddler is more aware of himself.
  2. He’ll ask to go to the potty (which is cute, but not so cute when he asks to go in the middle of the night) and even if he has already “gone”, he’ll tell me afterward.
  3. He wears Pull-Ups to school and when he’s at home (no more diapers!!!)
  4. Chart obsessed! We use the chart that we printed out from the Big Kid Academy via the Pull-Ups website. After Skylar gets 3 checks (in any column), I reward him with little prizes (I bought a large amount of Hot Wheel cars and small toys).

Skylar does feel better about himself and really loves wearing his Pull-Ups®. I’m thrilled that we’ve gotten this far and know that we don’t have long to go before he is completely trained.

Pull-Ups recently announced an exiting new partnership with The First Years.  The First Years offers a range of different potty training systems and seats, even some decorated with Disney characters to help make potty training as fun as possible!
With the purchase of a specialty potty system from The First Years, you may also receive a free sample pack of Pull-Ups Training Pants to tackle the potty training journey.

Check out the Big Kid Academy (which we found really helpful):

So, how’s potty training going for your little one?
