Guess what I did last Wednesday?
Last Wednesday, I attended the fabulous Fashion Forward Conference, created by Nicole Feliciano, Vera Sweeney, Audrey McClelland and Brooke Stewart. The panel I attended before the show was so inspiring – Kelly Wallace of iVillage moderated Style Your Success, with panelists Michelle Madhok of SheFinds Media – publisher of SheFinds.com and MomFinds.com, Samantha Ettus of Working Moms Lifestyle, Kendra Bracken-Ferguson of DBA, and Julie Deane of The Cambridge Satchel Company.
I was incredibly proud to walk the runway yesterday, during the fashion show, modeling an amazing teal and taupe v-necked SWAK Designs Maxi Dress available on Sonsi.com. The team from Sonsi was supportive (ladies, I’d LOVE to work with you in the future!). I was styled (TIP- leave your watch and pony tail holders off your wrists if you are in a fashion show) and had my makeup done (huge thanks to Evy Drew).
Was I nervous? Of course, but I decided to give it my all and brazen it out. Even though the gorgeous maxi dress was a little too long (I’m barely 5′ 4″), I held the dress up (with one hand) and strutted my stufff. I also wore an infiniti scarf, and wore a terrific pair of stacked heel suede boots to rock the runway. It was a lot of fun (and I didn’t trip)
