Everyone loves the classic children’s book, Alice in Wonderland and its endearing characters: Alice, The rabbit, the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat, just to name a few. This January the New York Theatre Ballet is holding four performances of the Alice in Wonderland Follies that you won’t want to miss.
The hour-long show, choreographed by Keith Michael, will include an eclectic mix of dance forms, such as Irish Step Dancing, African Jubba and also classic ballet. To make things even more interesting, the show will be presented in vaudeville (New York circa 1915). The ballet features sets by Gillian Bradshaw-Smith and costumes by Sylvia Taalshon Nolan, Resident Costume Designer of the Metropolitan opera.
