There’s Something for Everyone in Legoland Discovery Center in Westchester!

03/12/2014 by Maytal

by Senior Reviewer Maytal Wichman —

Last summer in the midst of a heatwave we visited Legoland Discover Center in Westchester and had a blast! Now with Spring showers just around the corner, we find Legoland the perfect place for a rainy day and so we visited again to get another look and try some things we didn’t get to before, such as a lego building class and baby activities. Between the rides, 4D movie and Miniland (a replica of NYC) we spent a good 4 hours there. Here are pictures from our day:

The kids’ favorite: The Fire Academy, which is a huge jungle gym. It has a slide and my kids had a blast going up and down and burning some energy. (Tip: you need socks to get in)IMG_6122The baby was having fun playing with large soft lego blocks. Kids under 2 are free and there’s plenty for them to do.baby lego CollageThe earthquake tables were fun! My kids loved pushing the button and watching the legos fall.IMG_6094My older kids (7 and almost 5) had a great time building a rocket ship out of legos at the Master Builder Academy. The instructor was great and very patient. The classes are offered throughout the day and are for kids ages 5 and up.lego class CollageI was thrilled to find whole wheat and  vegetarian sandwiches at the cafeteria for about $5. The sandwich was pretty good and very filling. There are plenty of healthy options like salads, apple slices, fruit cups and humus, along with  options such as pizza and hot dogs.foodCollageBe sure to check out the new Legoland competition:

Visit Legoland Discovery Center in Yonkers to learn more about Legoland and to purchase tickets.

I was not compensated for this post. I received tickets to Legoland Discovery Center.
