NYC: Family Fun at Citibabes Club!

08/15/2012 by Maytal

by Contributing Blogger Maytal Wichman

Living in a city known for its fickle weather, us New York parents are always on the lookout for fun indoor spaces that have kids’ activities. Citibabes, a club in SoHo, not only has top-notch activities for both parents and kids, but is also easily accessible with a decent number of trains at a short walking distance. (Read more after the jump)

I recently spent some fun-filled mornings at Citibabes and discovered and entire world! A family membership at Citibabes gives you access, first and foremost, to an indoor playground. This playground, suitable for babies and kids up to age 5 includes slides, soft building blocks, a mini grocery (complete with baskets and pretend food), lots of games built in the walls for kids to discover and more! In other words, a fun and safe area for your baby and toddler to roam around in. My kids (5.5 and 3.5) absolutely loved the indoor playground! I was able to sit right across from the play space and get some work done while they ran around and got some exercise. At 8 months pregnant and when it’s 90 degrees outside, it was a real luxury to be able to be in an air-conditioned room, not have to worry about my kids and just let them play to their hearts’ content. It would not have been possible at an outdoor playground, simply because the heat would just have worn us all out.

On a typical day at Citibabes, after playtime, my kids and I like to get some snacks in the cafe. We usually pick one of the smaller tables that includes kid-sized chairs and even booster seats. My kids also love looking through the book collection on a nearby shelf. Everything is always spotless and shiny, including the restrooms (which are immaculate) and there’s also hand sanitizer available everywhere you look.

Since I am 8 months pregnant I did not take advantage of another great amenity for members: access to a state-of the art adult gym with yoga and fitness classes.

Other amenities for members:

  • Gourmet family café
  • Adult lounge
  • Travel concierge
  • Retail Boutique
  • Events for the whole family including parenting seminars, family concerts, artist series for children, and holiday parties.
  • Membership Benefits Program: exclusive deals with spa, travel, fashion partners and more.

For an additional price members can enjoy the following:

• CitiSchool, our preschool program
• Signature classes
• CitiCamp
• Childminding
• Personal training
• Select parenting workshops
• Birthday parties

Visit Citibabes.com to learn more about this awesome club and its amenities.

I was not compensated for this post. I received a complimentary 3-month family membership.
