Mother’s Day Gift Idea: Scent Trunk – Customized Perfume Delivered Monthly

05/01/2017 by Maytal

I don’t wear a lot of makeup but I do love to wear perfume. I’ve noticed through the years that I lean towards floral scents so when I heard of Scent Trunk – a company that customizes perfumes – I was excited to try it out!

Scent Trunk is a company that sends you a new perfume on a monthly basis which is customized to your personal preferences. It’s very simple: you get a free “fit kit” – a scent test kit. All you pay is $4.95 for shipping. The kit includes six tiny bottles with core scents (Citrus, Woods, Aromatic, Floral, Amber, Chypre). You smell them and rate them (“love”, “like” or “dislike”) and put this info online in a link that will be sent to you. I received a Fit Kit and the only scent I loved was floral, but I also liked citrus and chypre. I disliked woods, aromatic and amber. I was able to go on the site and quickly plug all that info in, and a few weeks later I received my own personalized perfume.

The perfume, which comes in a 5 ML bottle that’s supposed to last for one month, was exactly what I love! I sprayed once on my collarbone and once on one of my wrists and immediately felt like I was in a garden of blossoming English roses. The perfume came in a box which included a note with information about the perfume. It was described as a “delicate, powdery bouquet of soft florals”. The top notes are lemon, pink peppercorn, and honey. Middle notes are rose, lily of the valley and geranium. Base notes are white flowers and fresh leaves. The sillage (the degree in which a perfume lingers in the air when worn) is 3/5. Longevity is also 3/5.

I absolutely adore this perfume and just a couple of spritzes are enough to make me cheerful in the morning. This particular scent is also perfect for springtime.

When you sign up for scent trunk you can choose to get another bottle of this exact perfume each month or get a brand-new perfume based on your original scent test. There are dozens and dozens of combinations based on your scent test result and each monthly perfume can be different if you wish to try the different possibilities.

Visit Scent Trunk to learn more. Price is $11.99/month and FREE shipping.

I was not compensated for this post. I received a sample.
