Hallmark’s Interactive Storybooks and Story Buddies

02/22/2012 by The Mama Maven

By Guest Writer Julie Terrone

Hallmark’s Interactive Storybooks and Story Buddies bring stories to life. My 6 year old daughter fell in love with Nugget, an interactive dog who responded to key phrases in the read aloud book, Nugget’s First Day of School. When reading the phrases that are highlighted in red, Nugget will respond and add a little something to the story. It was great to see the look on my kids’faces when Nugget responded.

Hallmark has a line of 7 stuffed interactive animal buddies and a series of 3 books for each character.
Interactive Storybooks and Story Buddies™ retail for $29.95. The first Interactive Storybook is free
with purchase of Story Buddy.

If you have an iPad or iPod device, the Hallmark interactive buddies have Apps you can download for
free at the App Store and play games with these characters as well. My daughter likes dressing Abigail
the bunny and listening to her story.

Check out Julie’s daughter actually reading Nugget’s First Day of School!

What’s Julie’s daughter’s name? I work at Hallmark and was lucky enough to write the Nugget books. I’d love to send this great little reader a thank-you card. Thanks, Julie, for posting the video. It’s not very often a writer gets to see such a beautiful sight.
