Get Great Back-to-School Fashion for Kids at Kohl’s (+ Discount Code)

08/17/2017 by The Mama Maven

This post is sponsored by Kohl’s. I received the included back to school clothes and essentials as compensation.”

My kids don’t start school until after Labor Day. However, I am trying to make sure I get ready for back to school now so we aren’t rushing in a few weeks. I am excited to partner up with Kohl’s to get us ready! I tend to be a little fashion-challenged, however, my kids know exactly what they want. I concentrated on outfitting my two boys and I was really pleased with the selection, fashion, and choices at Kohl’s — which is a store that we love to shop at. Since it was a busy work week, my plan of going to my local store didn’t happen (there are two nearby). So we were able to shop online for kids clothing and I got some terrific buys. I wanted on trend clothes at the right prices. Kohl’s really is the place for getting ready for back to school!Back to School Fashion for Kids at Kohl's #AD #KohlsBacktoSchool #GameOn | The Mama Maven Blog

I let each of my two boys pick out what they liked. My younger son is about to be 7 and last year he only wanted to wear shirts with dinosaurs. This year, he’s not into dinosaurs and really picky with what he will and what he will not wear. So, I made sure to consult with him.

He picked these shirts:

The Flash Graphic Tee, on sale for $7.99

He picked out this adorable  Star Wars tee with R2D2 and C-3PO that says “Droids will be Droids”, on sale for $9.99.
My kid tends to be a simple kid sometimes, so he requested a white polo shirt. I found this pique polo shirt for $8. Most people do freak out if a child wears a light colored shirt (because of dirt and messiness), but for $8, I can relax and let it get wrecked.

Since Winter is coming, I made sure to have him pick out some long sleeve shirts like this dark grey one (we liked it so much we also picked out the blue color too). It was on sale for $7.99!

We also liked this striped shkosh long sleeve thermal, on sale for $12.

How cute is this Captain America Hoodie, on sale for $11.99?

He picked these pants:

These Jumping Bean Mesh Pants were $10! I picked up two colors for him (black and grey).

My older son is about to be 12 and also picky about what he will wear. However, he won’t throw a temper tantrum like my little one. Once upon a time, jeans would not touch his body, but now, they are okay. Sort of. The jeans have to be a dark wash. He can easily wear skinny jeans, but I’m not a big fan of them.

So we found these jeans, which passed all his requirements, on sale for $19.99.

He also wants a pair of khaki cargo pants. Because I hate to iron, we compromised on these dark khaki chinos, on sale for $21.99.

He also found some cool shirts, because sixth graders have to be cool. Here’s what we picked:

This raglan tee was 2 for $20, so we grabbed another color along with this.

I also picked up a Darth Vader Star Wars Tee for him, on sale for $12.99.

He also needed sneakers and a windbreaker.

I found some New Balance sneakers in his size for $41.99. While it did make me wince, I pay more for my sneakers…

I also found a good deal on a Columbia Sportswear  Color Block Rain Jacket, on sale for $22.50. Totally sixth grader approved!

I even had money to pick up a pair of So Margaret Mary Jane Shoes for my daughter, on sale for $24.99.

Don’t forget that you can use other coupon sites and then use coupons for Kohl’s (you can even stack some of them). I was able to save around $28 off PLUS free shipping! A good deal always makes me happy!
