When I first heard about Epson's new Expressions ET-2550 EcoTank All-in-One Printer (MSRP $299) and how it came with up to 2 years of ink in the box, I was surprised. I have been going through ink cartridges like crazy for years. Would I really not have to keep several ink cartridges in stock in my closet?
I've been playing with the printer for a few months and I haven't run out of ink. My 10 year old prints a lot, I print alot — and we haven't had to do a refill. I love the compact size and how easily I can scan or make copies.
The Expression ET-2550 EcoTank wireless all-in-one printer comes loaded and ready with up to 2 years of ink in the box (based on printing 150 pages a month). That's enought to print up to 4000 black/6500 color pages (actual ink yields will vary considerably for reasons including images printed, print settings, temperature and humidity).
Filling the tank can be messy, but wear gloves and it should be fine.
