There are many versions of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, but one of the most lavish productions in New York is the one by Dances Patrelle. With a unique, “olde New York” theme, set at the turn of the century, this show is both a love letter to the city and a dazzling version of the classic ballet, with all the bells and whistles: picture-perfect dance moves, unforgettable sets and gorgeous costumes. As an added bonus: the uber-talented kids steal the show each year. It is an absolute delight and recommended for people of all ages. And it’s coming up soon – don’t miss the Yorkville Nutcracker by Dances Patrelle this holiday season!

Francis Patrelle’s holiday classic returns for its 29th season! Enjoy a magical tour of 1895 New York City with Dances Patrelle. The journey begins with a Christmas Eve party at Gracie Mansion attended by dignitaries from around the world – including new police commissioner, Theodore Roosevelt. There will be a battle with life-sized mice, a midnight skate on the ponds of Central Park, and a sleigh-ride to the Grand Conservatory of the Bronx Botanical Gardens in time for a beautiful sunrise buffet of sweets, hosted by the Sugar-Plum Fairy.
