PBS Kids Ready Jet Go Twitter Party This Monday from 2-3PM EST

02/05/2016 by The Mama Maven

Join Dr. Amy Mainzer, Craig Bartlett, creator of Ready Jet Go, Coralie Seright of Love Bugs and Postcards and I on Monday from 2-3 PM EST for a fun twitter party to talk about PBS Kids’ new series Ready Jet Go!

PBS Ready Jet Go Twitter Party | The Mama Maven Blog

Ready Jet Go is a new PBS Kids Series that follows three kids: Sean, who is all about the science facts; Sydney who has a passion for science fiction; and their 4 year old neighbor, Mindy, who has so many questions about space. They meet the new kid on their street, Jet Propulsion, whose family happens to be aliens from the planet Borton 7. He takes them on explorations in the solar system, learning about friendship and teamwork along the way.

Ready Jet Go! Coming to PBSKids Winter 2016 | The Mama Maven BlogThis show is going to build on children’s curiosity about science, technology and astronomy. It will feature fun stories that help kids learn Earth science – such as gravity, sound waves and force and demonstrates technology such as telescopes, the Mars rovers, and robots. In the show, the characters often use the scientific method to answer questions.
Here’s Craig Bartlett and Jim Lang singing “The Solar System” and “Scientific Method” from the series – I am a PBS Kids VIP Parent Ambassador and we sat down with them at the PBS Annual Meeting in Austin in May.

Besides the series airing on PBS Kids stations, it will also offer interactive content online and on mobile. There will be games, hands-on activities, and parent resources, as well as on mobile apps.

There will be live-action segments with NASA/CalTech’s Dr. Amy Mainzer, who serves as their Jet Propulsion Laboratory astronomer and and is also the science curriculum consultant for Ready Jet Go!

I have been a PBS Kids VIP Parent Ambassador since 2012. I am not compensated for my posts, but I do get perks. I am very proud to work with them and as always, all opinions are my own.

There is no greater gift you can give your kids than letting them watch pbs shows! Both of my kids learned incredible core values from many of their programs and it it doesn’t get better than a show like this which marries education and fun! Can’t wait to tweet along!
