Plum Organics Debuts New Fruit and Grain Line

02/26/2012 by The Mama Maven

My children and I have been fans of Plum Organics since it debuted and they’ve always loved everything they tried. We first tried it in 2008, when my daughter was a baby. Fast forward to my third child Skylar, who’s 18 months now, who loves to eat anything from Plum Organics that we give him!

We sampled the new Stage 2 fruit and grain flavors; zucchini, banana & amaranth; sweet potato, mango & millet; apple, raisin and quinoa; and plum, berry & barley. My little tester went nuts over the zucchini, banana & amaranth — The mild flavor of the zucchini blended nicely with the bananas and amaranth. The apple, raisin and quinoa was also a big hit. He thoroughly enjoyed the plum, berry & barley and sucked down the sweet potato, mango & millet. After he finishes a pouch, he proceeds to pitch it over the side of the high chair (toddlers are insane).

3 of the flavors are gluten free (but are made in a facility that uses gluten). Find nutrition info here. Pop the Boon spoon attachment on the Plum Organics’ BPA-free pouches and you can take them on the road! Plum is one of the only baby food pouches that I would take with me when Skylar was younger — because the Boon Spoon attachment was so handy!

We also love the Jammy Sammies!

We also sampled the Teensy Fruits. Skylar, who isn’t that great with eating solid foods yet (the kid got teeth late and refuses most finger foods) loved them and was easily able to eat them by himself. They’re a mixture of fruit puree with a little cellulose and pectin.
