Review: Customize Your Clothes with eShakti #fashion

03/13/2013 by Maytal

I love buying clothes online but sometimes I feel like I have to compromise – the shirt is too long, the dress has sleeves I don’t like, the embroidery is not my cup of tea, etc. In these instances I either compromise and purchase the clothes as they are or don’t purchase them at all. Sure, I could take them to the tailor to have them fixed but who has the time for that!? I recently discovered eShakti – an online clothing store where you can customize clothes to your liking. (Read more after the jump)

Here’s how it works: You browse the site and once you find something you like and pick the size, you then have the option of customizing one or more features. For example, you can pick the type of sleeve you want, remove the embroidery or pockets, or make something shorter or longer. I recently got the Flutter Sleeve Floral Chiffon Tunic for review. After selecting the size and my height I had the option of customizing the length. I was able to choose either hip length, above hip length, mid-thigh length, or to leave it as it is. I decided to make it above hip length because it seemed like the kind of top that would look better if it was a bit shorter than the original.

When I received the tunic in the mail, it came with a black tank top (because the material of the tunic is sheer) and with a sash that you can tie around the waist. The tunic looked gorgeous! (my cousin is wearing it in the picture above). It’s casual enough to wear during the day with jeans and boots but can also be worn with black slacks or a pencil skirt and pearls for an elegant look. The sash accentuates the waist for those who want to look a little curvy.

It is so much fun to browse through the wide selection of colorful dresses, tops, skirts and jackets and to look at all of the various ways you can customize them. The clothes are super-feminine and come in sizes 0-36.

To purchase the Flutter Sleeve Floral Chiffon Tunic click here (it’s currently out of stock – awaiting fabric replenishment). For more information and to browse the collection please visit eShakti.com.

I was not compensated for this post. I received a sample.
