I have had some trouble finding a natural sunscreen that is effective and easy to apply to wiggling children until now. TruKid is hands down the best and easiest to use physical sunscreen that I have used. Physical sunscreens block the sun’s damaging rays but some brands can be too thick or oily and really difficult to apply. Of course, if they are hard to use people may not reapply as often as necessary to truly protect the skin. We tried TruKid’s Sunny Days SPF 30+ and it was easy to get a nice even coat on my daughter’s skin and it smelled great. In fact she asks daily to put it on because she loves the fresh citrus scent! The sun protection is wonderful and I feel much better that the product I put onto my children’s skin on a daily basis has been given the highest rating on the Environmental Working Group’s system of determining the safest sun protection.

As always, follow the rules for safer sun exposure:
*Apply liberally 15 minutes before you get out in the sun
*reapply after 40 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying or at LEAST every 2 hours
*Try to limit any sun exposure between the hours of 10am-2pm and use hats and shirts in addition to excellent sunscreen!
