3 Toys for Creative Kids from ALEX Toys

08/24/2014 by Maytal

by Senior Reviewer Maytal Wichman

Kids by nature are curious, inquisitive and, in my opinion, can be very creative. They just need the right opportunity to let their creative juices flow and ALEX Toys can provide them with toys and ideas that can let their imagination soar. Here are three toys that I love:

IMG_9035My First Science Kit, $23.99

This kit has 8 different science experiments that are all about colors. My kids tried the Bubbling Colors Activity and had a lot of fun – they dropped colorful tablets in a test tube with water and watched the tablets fizz and the water change colors. They also had fun mixing primary colors to get new colors: orange, purple and green. The activity guide explains how each experiment works. The kit is appropriate for kids ages 4 and up.

Make Lolly Crayons, $14.95

This fun kit comes with everything you need to make crayons in the shape of ice cream and candy. You just put crayon crumbles in the silicon mold (you can use the included crumbles or your own) and put the mold in the oven. Once it cools you get adorable candy and popsicles that are actual crayons so you can use them to draw as you would with normal crayons. My kids had so much fun experimenting with colors. They got so excited that they used all 8 colors of crayon crumbles that are included. This is appropriate for kids ages 6 and up and you do need adult supervision because you have to use an oven.

Color a House, $37.95

This award-winning toy has an added bonus – once the kids finish coloring and decorating the house they use it as a playhouse for pretend play. It’s sturdy, easy to assemble and comes with 6 giant markers that have dual tips – a broad and a fine tip. Additional features are a chimney, birdbath, mailbox and roof window. Appropriate for kids ages 4 and up.IMG_9023Visit ALEX Toys for more unique toy ideas.
