3 Hacks to Make Air Travel Easier (and Avoid Dehydration)

(Written Pre-Covid)
I recently got back from a quick trip overseas visiting family. My red-eye flight was 11 hours and needless to say, was exhausting in every sense of the word. Luckily, I had with me tried-and-true hacks for making the flight a little easier and had me arrive at my destination more refreshed than I thought I would. Here are my three secrets:

3 Hacks to Make Flying Easier (and Avoid Dehydration) | The Mama Maven Blog

Lettuce:
I packed three heads of romaine lettuce in a large ziplock bag (chopped and washed, of course) and munched on them throughout my flight. The water in the lettuce, along with the vitamins, helped me stay hydrated throughout my flight, plus I also bought a water bottle at the airport for extra hydration.

Skin Care:
The plane is very drying and 11 hours can wreak havoc on your skin. I used soothing Rose Toner Spray a few times during the flight and loved the results: super-soft skin that wasn’t oily, just hydrated and glowing. As an added bonus, the scent of fresh roses smells like perfume and is therapeutic in and of itself. The toner contains resveratrol, sandalwood and Edelweiss stem cells, among other ingredients, and comes in a 2-ounce travel-size bottle ($12.00).

Neck pillow:
There are a lot of neck pillows out there but Necknapperz ($19.99) are neck pillows that convert into a stuffed animal. Size-wise they fit kids and adults alike so when you’re not napping on the plane turn them over and switch into a friendly plush for your kid.

I was not compensated for this post. I received samples.
