Updated: I got my first dose this past weekend! I’ve never been so happy to have high blood pressure!
Javits Center is now offering the new Johnson and Johnson Vaccine during their night appointments — go here: https://am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/. I believe it’s only the appointments from 9PM to 6AM.
So so excited that vaccines are available in New York right now! But getting an appointment is hard. I was trying to help my son’s ABA Therapist find an sooner appointment and my friend Nellie at https://brooklynactivemama.com/ helped me find one. And then another friend helped me get an earlier appointment. The process is so confusing with several sites that offer appointments, but not one aggregated one. I’m making a list of several websites that you may be able to get a loved one a vaccine appointment or even an appointment for yourself. This is a living list and I will update it.

The Federal Government determines how much vaccine New York State receives and has given New York approximately 250,000 vaccines/week for over 7 million people who are eligible – as a result supply is very limited. Vaccines are available at pharmacies, hospitals and through local health departments – please contact the provider of your choice to schedule a vaccine appointment.
AN APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED. IF YOU VISIT A LOCATION WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A VACCINE.
I’d also recommend getting a doctor’s note and bringing it if you have an underlying condition, like I do. Also bring your driver’s license and make sure you don’t need a second form of I.D.

My advice is to check on off hours and late at night. Update: I was able to get a vaccine appointment for this WEEKEND! I checked around 8PM at night and I lucked out!
