Back To School Buying Guide

So, either your child is about to go back to school or they start in a month like we do here in NYC. Whichever way it is, I’m sure you wondering what you really need for back to school? I recently worked on a big back to school event with Sherri Shubert Events and it clued me into some great picks for back to school. Check out our Back To School Buying Guide.

Back To School Guide

Mabel’s Labels

We are HUGE fans of Mabel’s Labels – I label EVERYTHING and my kids have a lot of stuff. I label every item of clothing, plus backpacks, lunch containers, pencil cases, tech — anything that leaves my house. It makes my life easier. And with three kids, we hand things down, so I label things that I know I’ll pass down to my younger ones so we can keep using them.

We use Mabel’s Labels to label everything that went to summer camp this year.

Basket labeled

It’s such an easy way to label your kids’ school gear. I label my stuff also – because I tend to leave my jackets everywhere- this means that I can get my things back!

What also is great is their medical information labels and tags. As I’ve mentioned, I have a child with Type 1 Diabetes and he had a really scary incident at the end of May and he had a bike accident in June. While he wears a medical ID bracelet, the labels and tags from Mabel’s Labels are bright and stand out. It will also hopefully get his bag back quicker if he drops it somewhere.

Mabel's Labels Medical Labels

I’ve washed clothes labeled with Mabel’s Labels and the labels STICK! There are tons of designs so my kids can pick what designs and colors they like. With all the germs now, I am grateful to have labels on our things so we can prevent mix-ups at school.

Stamp from Mabel's Labels

I love the stamp – it’s so easy and the ink will last for through 40 washes. That will get you through the school year for favorite t-shirts and sweatshirts.

GoGoSqueeZ

Plant Based Puddings from GoGoSqueeZ

Who doesn’t LOVE GoGo squeez?? And I’ll give you another reason right now — Plant based Pudding!

Their new non-dairy portable treat features almonds, pea protein and 30% less sugar than regular puddings.

If you are allergic to tree nuts, this isn’t the GoGo squeez product for you, but there are a bunch that would fit the bill.

And look at the cute new packing in partnership with Crayola!

GoGo squeeZ Yogurtz

And on our recent beach trip, we packed plenty of their Big squeeZ to take with us. I love them too!

Twelve Little

You may have heard about Twelve Little and their gorgeous diaper bags. But did you know that they have a really amazing kids line that has the same thoughtful interior and exterior functionality as their adult diaper bag collection?

My daughter will be rocking this navy celestial print for the new school year. The details are terrific and she is going to be thrilled. She was so excited when I told her about her new backpack waiting for her at home (she’s at camp).

Boiron

I won’t start any school year, especially now without Boiron’s Oscillococcinum® in my home. We take it the moment we feel achy or fun down to nip flu-like symptoms in the bud. According to clinical studies, Oscillococcinum reduces the duration and severity of flu symptoms such as body aches, headache, fever, chills and fatigue.*
It’s easy to take, even for my picky kids, and the slightly sweet pellets dissolve under the tongue. Recommended for ages 2 and up, it’s non-drowsy and does not interact with other medications or supplements. It won’t mask symptoms of a more serious condition. Oscillococcinum from Boiron is available over the counter in boxes of 6, 12, or 30 doses. Boiron also offers its ColdCalm® line, Chestal® cough syrup line, ThroatCalm® and Sinusalia®.

Note: *These “Uses” have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.

Epson

As you saw from my recent partnership with Epson, we are crazy about their printers.

My daughter and sons will use using the Epson EcoTank ET-2760 this year. The biggest thing is that it features an easy-to-fill, supersized ink tank for wireless, cartridge-free printing. You can print borderless photos and it has auto 2- sided printing. It saves you up to 90 percent on ink. You get up to 2 years of ink with the included or each low-cost replacement ink set so you can print everything your child needs like book reports, projects, permission slips, artwork, etc… for the whole family without worrying about running out of ink and with zero cartridge waste.
