I recently attended a brunch during BlogHer 2012 at the Scholastic Headquarters in Manhattan. The event was for the launch of Scholastic’s new reading app, Storia that is appropriate for kids ages 3-14. The app, which is free to download, works with Windows and iPad and will be available soon for Andoid Tablet, Smartphone and iPhone. As a bonus, you get 5 free books as well. Here are some of its features: (Read more after the jump)
- Includes e-books that are age-appropriate
- Parents can track their child’s progress and see how many pages she read, what words she learned, etc.
- Built-in dictionary helps kids of all levels learn new words
- Some e-books contain games and animation to help with vocabulary
You can download the free app here.
I was not paid for this post. I did receive a gift bag and gift card.
