How to Make Matzah Pizza – A Delicious Kosher for Passover Meal

04/06/2018 by The Mama Maven

Matzoh Pizza is absolutely a favorite during Passover, but did you realize that you could add toppings? Around a couple of years ago, we started getting a little fancy with our Matzah Pizzas. I can’t take total credit — my husband had been excited and we came up with some ways to make it even better — and dare I say, sneak some more veggies into our children.

Here’s how to make it:

You’ll need:
Matzoh – If you are making this during Passover, make sure it’s marked Kosher for Passover
Ricotta Cheese
Tomato Sauce
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Oregano
Toppings of your choice

Until I met my husband, I never thought to toast and then add ricotta cheese. He gets full credit for that!

Instructions:
Toast the matzohs. Spread on ricotta cheese.

Add a little oregano (optional).
Add the toppings of your choice. Our kids prefer either plain or mushroom topped (saute the mushrooms first) and we like sauteed spinach and mushrooms. Toast for 5-6 minutes or until melted.

Serving size:
Kids will eat around 1 whole sheet of matzoh pizza (or 2), adults 2- 3 whole matzoh sheets.
If you are carbing it out, add the matzah + the tomato sauce and then any toppings. We used a matzoh that was 27 carbs per sheet and then 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce.

Kids can help with these recipes — have them sprinkle toppings on the matzoh tacos and matzoh pizzas.
