We’re smack in the middle of summer and the weather is so sticky and gross. Summer means that I want to make sure my little ones stay a little cooler during our very active and hectic lifestyle and enjoying frozen treats like ice cream, frozen yogurt, and milkshakes are some of the ways to we do that. Our favorite frozen treat? Any frozen treat that has OREO cookie pieces on top, of course.
This past weekend, we headed out to our favorite frozen yogurt shop to enjoy some OREO frozen treats. We had spent the whole day running around with the kids, picking out furniture (so glam, right?). It wasn’t very fun for my three kids, but they were troopers and didn’t complain… much. After store #3, I knew that it was time to stop and get their spirits up. We ran from the air conditioned mini van into our favorite dessert spot, which is close to where we were shopping.
As we sat in the cool air, enjoying our frozen yogurt with OREO pieces, I knew I had made the right decision. My kids chose their favorite flavor (chocolate) and put their favorite topping, OREO cookie pieces, right on top. I was just happy that they managed not to spill frozen yogurt everywhere! My oldest son, B, was thrilled and enjoyed every second.
My younger two were a little grouchier, but enjoyed their treat, just not sitting near us (kids, right?). My husband and I both enjoyed our own cups, also topped with OREO cookie pieces. It was the perfect end to a long day. We had our new furniture, we all got a treat — win, win!
