XLR8 Connect and Go Back Pack Diaper Bag Review

07/23/2016 by The Mama Maven

By New Contributor Lou Majid

Summer’s pull to keep families outdoors means we need to STUFF our diaper bags to the brim to make sure “WE GOT EVERYTHING.” I always get asked lots of questions about travelling internationally with a baby and my response is always. BE PREPARED. My diaper bag is literally the difference between a great trip and a horrible trip. Having the things baby needs within reach keeps everyone happy. Trust me. I also try and encourage parents to pack smart, but all of this advice is kind of pointless if you don’t have the right diaper bag. We have all seen the Trendy bags . . . they look great but are not very functional. The minimalist bag…. Is just an over glorified shopping bag that might as well be a black hole. I have found the end all to diaper bags. Meet the XLR8 Connect and Go Back Pack Diaper Bag from Baby Boom.

I am in LOVE with this bag. It has all the bells and whistles but it is PRACTICAL. It’s not just for travel. This is a bag that can do it all. First off, this is a backpack style bag which I really like while travelling. Backpacks are just ergonomically better to carry when traveling. Shoulder strap or cross body bags just put too much weight on one shoulder to be worn for long periods comfortably.

This bag has POWER. Yes power…. The 7800mah power bank can recharge up to 4 devices. This alone sold me at first. Think about how you could charge your phone/ Tablet/ camera while on a hike, at the zoo, on a layover, at the beach In a park. The possibilities are endless. It also has an interior LED light that will help you locate anything at any time of the day, which leads to less fumbling around the bottoms of dark diaper bags. It even has a Bluetooth speaker for on the go listening. I actually found this to be a parenting hack while traveling. If you download a white noise app on your tablet or phone and sync it to the speaker you instantly have a white noise machine on the go. How cool is that? One less thing to pack!

Insulated exterior pockets keep food and bottles at temperature and stashed away from electronics. It has over 20 pockets so everything will have a place to go rather than lingering in the bottom of the bag. It keeps you organized on the go. It’s spacious, it’s sleek, and it’s smart… This diaper bag begs to be taken everywhere. It’s even cool enough even dad will want to carry with him to his next diaper change.
