Boost Up Your Kids’ Omega3 Intake with Coromega

02/04/2014 by The Mama Maven

By Nancy Johnson Horn, Editor —

coromega.jpgAs I’ve mentioned before, my oldest child was diagnosed with A.D.D. three years ago and we try to give him Omega 3’s to help him focus. But we haven’t had luck finding one he likes – we get complaints about the “fishy taste” and any other excuse he can come up with. Coromega recently sent me samples for him to try – their Kids DHA Omega3 Gummy Fruits, Kids High DHA Omega3 Squeeze, and their Big Squeeze.

Kids High DHA Omega3 Squeeze offers a squeezable alternative, like a yogurt tube, to provide the Omega-3’s little ones need for healthy brain and body development with cute animal friends that make it fun! For children 4 years old and up. My 8 year old really liked this, in fact, he scarfs it down every morning, right next to his breakfast. We tried the orange flavor  (the other flavor available is lemon lime)– and my formally very picky eater approved.

Ingredients include: fish oil, water, pasteurized egg yolk, asorbic acid, natural orange flavor, natural pineapple flavor, stevia leaf extract, vegetable oil, sodium asorbate, d-alpa tocopherol, citric acid, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, beta carotene color, xanthan gum, menthol, cholecalciferol. Contains egg (so if your child is allergic to eggs, this product is not for you).

Next we tried the gummies.

Coromega Kids DHA Omega3 Gummy Fruits offers 50 mg DHA omega-3 in each serving of orange, lemon and strawberry banana flavored gummies. For children 4 years old and up. Benefits include: 225 mg fish oil and 50 mg DHA Omega-3 in each serving. Helps to support a stronger mental focus, a healthier heart and nutritional balance. My son liked taking this also.

Ingredients include: glucose, syrup, sugar, gelatin, citric acid, lactic acid, fumeric acid, natural flavors, colors added (black carrot juice concentrate, annatto, tumeric), fractionated coconut oil, beeswax.

And then we tried their Big Squeeze. My husband and I have been taking this every morning. We tried the tropical orange nectar and it tasted very mangoey (which was a plus in our books).

It offers:

  • 3,000mg of fish oil per serving
  • Three new and delicious flavors
  • Emulsified for superior absorption (plus no large pills or messy oil to deal with)
  • High dose of omega-3 – 900mg of DHA and EPA omega-3 per dose
  • Delicious taken by spoon or add to your favorite blended drink, yogurt or smoothie
  • Pure  fish oil from small, deep, cold-water fish, molecularly distilled and 3rd party tested
  • Unique, cutting-edge, eco-friendly packaging

Ingredients include: Fish oil, water, xylitol, glycerine, gum arabic, citric acid, natural flavors, guar gum, xanthan gum, asorbyl palmitate, potassium sorbate, d-alpha tocopherol, cholecalciferol.

We recommend trying Coromega. You can find Coromega on Amazon.com.

Do you give your kids fish oil or take it yourself?

Thank you to Coromega for sending us product samples. As always, all opinions are my own.

This product has been a life saver for me and my 8 year old son who is ADHD. In fact it has improved behavior/focus immensely. If we miss a day he does NOT do well so we make sure to have this on hand. My only complaint is having to purchase online. I wish it was more mainstream in the supermarkets like Ralph’s and Von’s Pavilion’s so that I could run out and grab some if we run out. It is hard to wait for it to come in the mail. We love this stuff.
