Take Baby Food On the Go With NurturMe

05/02/2013 by The Mama Maven

By Nancy Johnson Horn, Editor

Ever traveled with a baby? You’ve got to bring so much stuff. Add even more weight if they are eating solids –it’s heavy to take multiple jars and pouches! NurturMe can make this easier.

NurturMe’s products are made from fruits and veggies that are sourced from U.S. farms and quick-dried in order to preserve freshness, flavor and essential phytochemicals and nutrients. Why dried? NurturMe uses freeze and drum drying methods, because there is less heat exposure to foods in the freeze and drum drying processes, there is a higher preservation of nutrients and phytochemicals. Freeze and drum dried foods retain more flavor, texture and color than canned foods, making them look better and taste fresher. These dry meals and snacks are certified organic, gluten-free, non-GMO and kosher, with no added preservatives, sugars or salts. Each pouch makes 2.5 oz. of pureed baby food. Instead of lugging heavy jars, you can take pouches and either bring the water to mix it with (or pick up water on your trip!). 8 Pouches come in a box and you can choose from peas, sweet potatoes, squash and apples, bananas, as well at the quinoa cereal (an alternative to rice cereal, which was just introduced). As a mom of three who’s lugged tons of jars and pouches around in the last 7 1/2 years, I wish this had been around years ago!

Have a picky eater? You can add NurturMe to your child’s food – like adding their squash to your child’s macaroni and cheese? Or even use it to make a banana smoothie.
