Strawberry Shortcake Donuts Recipe – Inspired by Strawberry Shortcake, Herself!

05/17/2016 by The Mama Maven

I’m excited to announce that I’m a Strawberry Shortcake Brand Ambassador. And did you know it’s National Strawberry Month right now?

I remember when Strawberry Shortcake came out — if you remember, Strawberry Shortcake is the little red-haired girl with the big personality. She lives in Berry Bitty City with her dog, Pupcake, her cat, Custard, and her friends, Orange Blossom, Lemon Meringue and Blueberry Muffin, to name a few. Every week they have fun-filled adventures on the Discovery Family Channel where they deliver positive messages of friendship, self-esteem and honesty. With their motto, “Anything is Possible,” they inspire young girls to follow their dreams and pursue their career endeavors. Speaking of careers, Strawberry and her friends are all entrepreneurs: Strawberry, for example, runs a bakery, Orange Blossom owns a grocery store, and Lemon Meringue has a beauty salon. It’s girl power all the way!

Here’s a great Strawberry Shortcake Donut Recipe.
Strawberry Shortcake Donut Recipe | The Mama Maven Blog

Start off with my Baked Funfetti Donut Recipe. It’s gluten free, but you can use any kind of cake mix you want to make this.

Straw

You’ll need:
Strawberries
Donuts (either store bought or homemade)
Whipped Cream
DecoPac Pink (Rosa) food dye
DecoPac Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake Toppers and Strawberry Rings
DecoPac Icing Bags and Tips

Instructions:
Slice donuts. If you are using homemade donuts, you may need to use two donuts instead (since the pans I had were small).
Take 1/2 of donut and put on a plate
Use two drops of DecoPac Pink Food Coloring to turn whipped cream pink.
Take DecoPac icing bags and place pink whipped cream inside
Add cut up strawberries on top
Place the other half of the donut on top.
Add a little more whipped cream on top.
You can add sprinkles or a fun topper on top for a little fun!
