New York Kids Club is a children’s enrichment center that offers classes, parties, camps and other special events in Manhattan and Brooklyn. My children and I had the chance to preview some of their new classes at the beautiful 22nd street location and we had a blast! The building is exceptionally clean, bright and pleasant to be in, definitely child friendly but not distracting or overwhelming
for the kids. The gym area has everything from a trampoline to a large rock climbing wall, and the staff was really friendly and caring. Kids ages 2 months to 12 years can take a wide range of well designed classes like art, dance and cooking. (Read More after the jump).We sampled three classes, the first being a brand new class called “Cuentos Musica y Arte”. This is a Spanish immersion class led by two instructors that included art, music and story time. Worried your child might not enjoy a non-English class? The instructors are animated and fun, communicating with the kids in a way that was easy for them to understand and learn. The class was very well thought out and a ton of fun for the kids!
The second class was “Infant Milestones”. The class is for the youngest babies- age 2 to 5months and is a low key, relaxing and nurturing experience. Infant massage, free play and the use of props stimulates and interests the babies while discussion,
stretching and bonding happens between the caregivers. I appreciated that it was a calming atmosphere which is just as important for frazzled parents as for the little ones, and again everyone had a lot of fun.
Last we were treated to the music class “Musical Tots” for ages 4 months to 4 years. Led by two very talented professional musicians who seemed to really love playing for and with the kids, Musical Tots was a great way to expose everyone to various types of music. The kids were asked to sing even if they didn’t know all of the words, got to dance with some shaky eggs and the class ended with a “baby Gaga” dance party. We loved it!
New York Kids Club is one of the best enrichment centers we have attended. Both my 1 year old and my 5 year old
