Tackling the Great Outdoors with Loom Waterproof Sneakers

05/21/2020 by The Mama Maven

This post contains affiliate links and I was provided a sample for this post. As always, all opinions are my own.

Update: It’s now almost a year later and these sneakers are still going strong! I plan to buy another pair

We’ve been locked down here in NYC for many weeks now. One of my sanity savers has been getting outside and going for tons of walks. I need the sunshine (hello Vitamin D) and the exercise. And on my feet is Loom Waterproof Sneakers ($99). Loom Waterproof Sneakers will keep your feet dry in any condition – which is great for any weather condition and you’re trying to get your steps in! But do they really keep your feet dry? Read on, as I’ve tested them for you as I’ve tackled the great outdoors with Loom Waterproof Sneakers.

Tackling the Great Outdoors with Loom Waterproof Sneakers - Review | The Mama Maven Blog

I started testing these out on the day we tried to go hiking up at Bear Mountain. There was a ton of mud and I think I stepped in most of it. I was actually sure that I ruined them and was a little sad. I waited to feel the sogginess through the sneakers, but funny thing – my feet still were dry despite all the wet and goopy mud!

Here’s a shot of them before they really got covered in mud.

Sneakers on the ground

When I got home I ran the sneakers under my sink and they came totally clean. I popped them out on my terrace the dry and you couldn’t tell that they had been full of mud. As in they looked as good as new.

Features:

They are well-cushioned, impact-resistant, and have a breathable upper material, making sure that your feet are fresh and comfortable at all times.

How Loom Waterproof Sneakers Work

The Verdict

I am really hard on sneakers and wear out many pairs in a year. I walk a lot, especially in quarantine, these sneakers still look new even though I’ve been wearing them for 2.5 months now. That’s a win/win for me. They are also very comfy and I plan to keep wearing them for a while. Now, they are on the more expensive side for sneakers, but these will last and also will keep your feet dry. If you are a hiker or like to be outside in all kinds of weather, Loom Waterproof Sneakers are perfect for you. Comes in white and black – in either a woman’s version or a men’s version.
