Keep Saturday, February 9 at 6:00 p.m for Opening Night festivities will kick off in a big way with a new tennis and culinary platform called the Taste of New York Open – a mash-up event of ATP tennis stars and celebrity chef David Burke. Chef Burke, a two-time James Beard Foundation winner as “Best Chef in New York” will be demonstrating his culinary talents alongside co-hosts and Hall of Famers Andy Roddick and Jim Courier. The two tennis stars will also compete in an iron chef competition during the event with the secret ingredients and winner to be determined by Chef Burke. With only a few hundred tickets available for purchase to the public, the culinary event will feature an assortment of dishes, including:

Following the Taste of New York Open, Roddick and Courier will take to the black courts to face off in an exhibition match. Two of the most accomplished stars in American tennis history, Roddick and Courier combined for five Grand Slam titles, 55 ATP Tour singles titles, and nearly $35 million in career earnings during their careers.
In addition to the Taste of New York Open, Chef Burke will be curating immersive VIP culinary experiences for tournament week throughout the venue, including general concessions, as well as hospitality areas.
“Taste of New York Open is going to be held on the Grandstand Court and we are expecting about 400 people for what I like to call ‘The Foodie Oasis,” said Josh Ripple, Tournament Chairman and GF Sports EVP. “This event is also the official ATP Player Party of the New York Open and offers tennis fans a chance to mingle with some of the top players in the world.”

The full ATP Tour field of 28 singles players and 16 doubles teams will include top-ranked ATP players like Kevin Anderson and John Isner, 2018 finalist Sam Querrey, as well as ATP Newcomer of the Year, Alex de Minaur, and Long Island native, Noah Rubin. On the doubles side, No. 1 ATP-ranked doubles player Mike Bryan is reuniting with his brother Bob, the No. 13-ranked player, bringing the sport’s greatest doubles team to the New York area.
Taste of New York Open Experience tickets are all-inclusive and provide access to the Roddick vs. Courier match that same evening.
