Everyone loves personalized gifts: from books, to plush animals to jewelry. But what if you could design your own kids’ clothes – and at affordable prices?! The Patchery is a website that allows you to design kids’ clothes in a simple and straightforward way that can get your creativity to come out. I am happy to announce that I have been selected to be an ambassador of the Patchery! In the next few months I will be sharing 6 pieces of kids clothing that I designed. The first two I designed myself, the next two will be a collaboration of my nine-year-old daughter and myself and the final two will be just my daughter designing (with hopefully very little guidance by me). I am excited to share the first item I designed!
For my first item I selected the Swing Dress ($48). I picked it because it’s cute and can be worn during all seasons. Once I selected the style I had to pick the fabric collection. There are eight collections to choose from, each one with solids and prints of various colors. I picked “Peppermint Lane” because I loved the vibrant colors. Next I had to decide which pattern goes on which part of the dress. It was easy and fun and once I had my dress ready I just put it in the cart.
The dress arrived a few weeks later and was exactly how I designed it. The material was very soft (100% organic) and the sewing done very well. My daughter tried it on and it fit her perfectly!
Stay tuned for my next post in which I will share my next design!
