Here are two really cool workbooks that my ten-year-old creative daughter has been enjoying:

Brain Bend – Extreme Architecture Mazes to Decode and Color by Mister Mourao, $9.74

All three of my kids love mazes and have done several fun workbooks with really cool mazes but I have never seen a book like this. I have never heard of Mister Mourao (aka Vasco Mourao) before but apparently, he is some sort of genius who draws by hand intricate, detailed structures. This book contains 25 artworks that are actually incredibly challenging mazes. (I tried one myself and it’s really difficult).

My daughter enjoys the challenge but I think it’s going to take her awhile to finish the book. As an added bonus, some of the structures in the book are simply for coloring and you can also color the maze once you solve it, or even during! There are also two mega mazes and coloring templated included. If you get stuck (like I did) solutions are in the back. The pages are perforated so you can easily tear out whichever piece you want to work on and even display it.

Draw, Color and Sticker Creative Lettering by Marissa Giambrone, $13.91

Coloring books are very popular these days and they’re fun, but your creativity is limited to simply selecting the colors. This book is a coloring book that allows you to kick your creativity up a notch. It provides partially illustrated coloring pages with guided prompts for inspiration and various motifs for ideas. It also includes stickers – some colored and some that you can color yourself – to add to the pages. As a bonus you can also learn how to draw cool alphabets, mandalas and more. All pages, including the stickers,  are made of uncoated paper stock so you can easily draw and write on them.

This book was perfect for my daughter who has graduated from sticker books a long time ago, but still enjoys a more grown-up sticker book to get creative with.
