Living in NYC, we try to stay active. Bike riding is something I grew up doing and loved. My 11-year-old son has been riding a bike for the past 5 years, but my 9-year-old daughter is just starting to figure out that bike riding is amazing and terrific exercise. We took the box out to my parents’ house in Long Island. My father and my husband put the bike together easily.

We took her down to my old high school’s parking lot. My husband and I worked with her, to get her acclimated to her new bike. 

Her big brother tried to encourage her.
