Getting very young kids to sit through an entire ballet performance can be a challenge. The folks at New York Theatre Ballet have just the remedy: a one-hour long performance of Cinderella with all the highlights and dazzling costumes and sets – the perfect opportunity for exposing young kids to the ballet! This winter NYTB will hold several performances that are aimed at kids ages three and up and delight young and old alike with this charming interpretation. Upcoming Show: NYTB’s Cinderella Ballet

A dancing clock, two wacky stepsisters, and everyone’s favorite rags to riches princess are all part of this traditional enchanting story! A perennial favorite of NYTB audiences across America, Cinderella is one-hour in length with choreography by Donald Mahler, costumes by Sylvia Taalson Nolan, set design by Gillian Bradshaw-Smith to the music of Sergei Prokofiev.

When: Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11am, 1pm, 3:30pm

Sunday, February 10th, 2019 at 11am, 1pm, 3:30pm

One of the most magical and optimistic fairly tales, Cinderella, is coming to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark this December in a full-scale ballet production you do not want to miss! The performance is choreographed by Vladimir Vasiliev, a former principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet, who was the first dancer ever to receive the gold medal of the World’s Best Dancer, well before Mikhail Baryshnikov.

The State Ballet Theatre of Russia was founded by Maya Plisetskaya, the legendary dancer and former prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater Ballet and is now under the direction of award-winning dancer and Moiseyev Dance Company soloist Nikolay Anokhin. The company has showcased the unparalleled art of Russian ballet to countries throughout the world, and now tours the U.S. with 55 of Russia’s finest dancers in Cinderella.

When: December 4th, 2016 at 3pm.
