Is it possible to find jeans that look good for a price that won’t break the bank? I recently checked out searsStyle’s Fashion Week Blogger Brunch featuring jeans and items from the Kardashian Kollection (yes, those Kardashians) & Bongo Collection. I really liked what I saw. (Read More after the jump).
While I’m usually a traditional dark wash denim type of gal, I enjoyed seeing the pops of color and the prints that were showcased in the Kardashian Kollection Denim and the Bongo Collections.
We were allowed to pick a pair to take home, so I selected the Woman’s Kim Curvy Straight Leg Jeans ($68, on sale for $46.99). The jeans actually fit great and feel good (I always like a low rise and a stretch).
Top Tips for Finding Great Jeans by searsStyle
If you’re tall: Choose jeans with a lower waist and a cut that flares out to flatter the figure and accentuates the right places
If you’re curvy and buxom: Start with a higher waist and choose larger pockets to flatter your behind. The shape and fit matter more than the wash, so look for a little stretch in your denim (it will slim the leg and backside).
If you’re petite: Choose a style that will balance you by staying away from flares and boot cuts. Go straight leg all the way down to your ankles.
Office Jeans: Try a trouser fit with a high waist and a crisp crease at the front of the jean. Go for a dark wash for a versatile and slimming look.
Non-Mom Jeans: Go simple (no embellishments) and nothing stone or acid washed.
Coupon Alert: I found a 20% off coupon on searsStyle’s facebook page (good for any day in September) so I’m going to head out to my nearest Sears and pick up some cool clothes for me (and some things for my 4 1/2 year old).
