My family and I are huge fans of Panera Bread. I like that it’s real — not processed food and while it’s not exactly dollar menu friendly, it’s food that I can feel good about eating and feeding to my family. My kids gravitate towards the macaroni and cheese, as they aren’t really concerned with why it’s a better choice for them.
I love their soups, sandwiches, and salads. My favorites include their onion soup and bacon turkey bravo sandwich. For those people who like a soup and a sandwich or a soup and a salad; Panera’s U Pick 2 is the perfect choice.
I went back to working out of the home several days a week this summer. To my delight, I found a Panera around 2 blocks from the office. Oh happy day!
Things get very busy at my job, but there’s two ways I can eat my lunch at Panera Bread. I can order via the Fast Lane Kiosk (you pay by credit card) and then wait for your order to come up on the screen. Once it’s done, I can go back to my office with it.
The second way, I can order my lunch, pick it up when my name is called and then go down to the dining area.
It’s very quiet and peaceful down there. Not like the Panera Breads by my house, which is very lively. Maybe because midtown Manhattan is very work and commuter friendly?
Panera Bread prides itself on being the antithesis of heavily processed and commercial food, and aims to change the way Americans eat, by offering something better they can feel good about eating. You can view more about its food vision by clicking here.
