It only takes one mom! ONE Moms is a movement of moms everywhere using their power to spread awareness for the fight against extreme poverty and preventable diseases. Recently, 10 social media moms went to Kenya as a first step in this effort, and these American moms met their African counterparts and experienced extreme poverty.
Some of the ONE Moms bloggers who traveled to Kenya with ONE will visit Washington, DC to speak to their elected officials to continue to support the programs they witnessed during their visit to Kenya.
ONE will host an online Day of Advocacy on October 25 to ask for a broader focus on global HIV/AIDS. They’ll a page where moms can automatically update their Twitter feed to tweet a message at the White House or update their facebook status.

Several of my blogger friends participated – Suzanne Chan from Momconfessionals, Issa Mass from Single Mama NYC, Jessica Shyba from Momma’s Gone City, Rebecca Levey from Beccarama, Amy Otzan from Selfish Mom, Nicole Feliciano from Momtrends. I was honored to be asked to be in it, but couldn’t swing the shoot date because of a scheduling conflict.
