Hard to believe but popular children’s entertainer Raffi has turned seventy this summer. The beloved children’s advocate is celebrating four decades of entertaining kids with a concert series called “Beluga Grads”. He also has a new album – his 25th – called Dog on the Floor, featuring his own dog, Luna.
The album features 15 songs, threee of which are about Luna. Most of the songs are original, with a few exceptions, such as “Mary Had a Little Lamb” and George Harrison’s “Here Comes the Sun”, which is a beautiful rendition. The songs are made especially for young ears – the lyrics are simple and easy to understand. The music is calming yet playful and the songs have a positive vibe to them.
