This past Thursday my husband and I were treated to an unforgettable night at the NYC Food & Wine Festival. Typically when we have a date night I spend some time fussing about what to wear but this time I didn’t have to: JCPenney and Liz Claiborne were generous enough to provide me with an outfit and purse. Wearing my brand-new clothes I headed out the rooftop of Pier 92 on 12th Avenue in Manhattan to meet my husband at the Ronzoni’s La Sagra Slices Event.
I loved my outfit! I’m a big fan of navy for all seasons but especially in the colder months when you can pair it with with reds and grays. This look can really brighten up even the dreariest winter day.
I wore a colorful top ($17) and awesome jeans (28.80) – both were petites so they fit me perfectly in terms of length. No need to go to the tailor. The jeans are a little stretchy and super-comfortable and the top is perfect for transitional weather and looks both casual and elegant at the same time. Plus I loved the pop of color that really brightens the rest of the outfit. I had a Quilted Bomber Jacket ($32) that was really soft and kept me warm on the breezy rooftop – another transitional item that’s a must have this season. A Convertible Satchel in dark blue ($52.50) completed the look.
I was not compensated for this post. I received passes to the NYC Food & Wine Festival and clothing and accessories from Liz Claiborne.
