My children go crazy when they watch movies headed up by animals. This month’s Netflix post is about some of our fave cats, dogs, and even monkeys who’ve starred on the big screen. Sure – there’s a cute factor being upheld, but these loyal companions can deliver important lessons on courage, protection and love.
Air Buddies movies are always a fave in our house. My kids giggle and love all the cute puppies running on the screen (and I’m glad I don’t have to chase after a bunch of pooches).
They also adore cat movies and just watched (and loved) Thunder and the House of Magic, which we streamed on Netflix. This movie was about an abandoned cat who finds a mystical house owned by an old magician. The house is inhabited by an array of wondrous automatons and gizmos — it was kind of crazy.
This month, the world’s greatest feline fighter, Puss in Boots, whose swashbuckling adventure-comedy series, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, comes to Netflix on Jan. 16.
