It’s no surprise that the Philadelphia International Flower Show has been named one of 1000 must-see places in the US & Canada! All week long guests have enjoyed an abundance of exquisite flower displays, breathtaking waterfalls and authentic Hawaiian dancing; but this weekend in particular is jam-packed with extra-special treats for children:
- Saturday & Sunday: Performances from Chica and friends from Sprout’s “Sunny Side Up Show.” Three 45-minute performances.
- Sunday, 3:45 – 5:15 pm: Sprout Snack! Join Sprout’s Kelly from “The Sunny Side Up Show”, The Pajanimals, and the Berenstain Bears for an interactive afternoon snack. Characters will join you at your table for one-on-one time, photos, and autographs. Please note: The Sprout Snack requires a special ticket; click here to order.
- Sunday, 2 pm, reading of “The Lorax” by Kathy O’Connell of WXPN’s Kids’ Corner.
- Sunday, Girl Scouts who attend in uniform pay half-price. At 11 am, a troop of scouts who earned the PHS patch (which encourages leadership, environmental awareness, and teamwork) will be recognized.
So what are you waiting for? Grab the family, throw some snacks in the car and get on the road…paradise is waiting for you…

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature as well as a Law Degree, but writing about nutrition and helping families eat better is her true passion. She grew up in both California and Israel, which explains her love for California cuisine (fresh, local ingredients), as well as Mediterranean food (flavorful, heart-healthy ingredients). Maytal is a stay-at-home mom to two kids (ages 5 & 2) and works hard to ensure they eat healthy, unprocessed food, while trying to make it as delicious as possible. Married to a vegetarian and being a pescetarian herself, this can be quite a challenge. On an ordinary night at her dinner table, you can hear things like “More cauliflower, please!”, “How come I didn’t get a lot of tomato?” and “Fish oil! Yaaaay!”.
